Memphis tourism picking back up after taking major hit in spring

Tourism in Memphis is slowly starting to increase after taking a big hit during the spring, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. “We just thought we were going to have the year of years, and then [COVID-19] hit,” said Kevin Kane, president of Memphis Tourism. Recipes Around the World: Peach Cobbler • The Blonde Abroad

How does peach cobbler fresh out of the oven topped with vanilla ice cream sound? Here’s the recipe for how to make old fashioned Peach Cobbler at home! Growing up, my family always had peach cobbler at gatherings. Because I love baking and I helped my grandma and parents make cobbler, I memorized the family recipe, which my grandma learned from her grandmother, when I was pretty young. The perfect way to eat any cobbler is fresh out of the oven with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge (for about 3 days at most) or in the freezer (for about two months), and all you have to do is reheat it to enjoy it again!

Road tripping through Oregon? From Portland to Bend, here’s the ultimate itinerary for all the gorgeous green hikes and waterfalls. I visited Oregon as part of a one-month road trip in the western United States. I was mesmerized by the scenery in the western portion of Oregon: luscious trees climbing towards the sky, bright green moss enveloping forests, and towering waterfalls enticing visitors to marvel in their power. While most people will venture to the beautiful Crater Lake National Park and the popular waterfalls just outside of Portland, there is so much more to see and do if you’re willing to venture out just a bit further. Northeast Tennessee’s scenic beauty, outdoor recreation opportunities and low population density position its tourism industry well to recover from the COVID-19 downturn, the state’s Commissoner of Tourist Development said. “When you take counties like Washington, Sullivan, along with Sevier and all of the beauty with our lakes, with our rivers, with our mountains, we really do have an advantage,” Mark Ezell told News Channel 11. “Especially when people are wanting to drive instead of fly.
