San Antonio was originally founded as a Spanish mission and colonial outpost in 1718. It was in the summer of 1731 when the township of San Antonio became the first chartered civil settlement in Texas making it the oldest municipality in the State.
San Antonio is home to some of the most exciting and unique attractions in Texas that include the historic River Walk attraction that winds it’s way almost three miles through the heart of San Antonio. The River Walk in itself is a “must do” experience when visiting San Antonio.

The Alamo structure was originally known as Misión San Antonio de Valero. It was founded in the 18th century as a Roman Catholic mission and also served the people of the region as a local fortress compound.
This very place was the site of the famous Battle of the Alamo in 1836 that involved the likes of William Travis, James Bowie and of course Davy Crockett and the volunteers from Tennessee.
San Antonio offers so much in tourism besides the Alamo and the downtown Riverwalk District. There’s also Six Flags Fiesta Texas, Tower of the Americas, Sea World San Antonio, Universal City, the Botanical Gardens, Natural Bridge Caverns the San Antonio Zoo and so much more!
